Our Verified Audio Detection System gives our clients the fastest possible response time, with the unique protection of sound detection.

Whenever Sonitrol's audio sensors pick up abnormal activity on your premises, a signal is sent to a Sonitrol Central Station, where professional operators listen to live audio transmissions from your site.

Once the alarm is verified, they can call the proper authorities immediately, or reset your system without disturbing you or safety officials.

Small audio sensors, strategically placed throughout your premises, allow Sonitrol to hear the sounds of abnormal activity as they occur in your facility. When your system is activated, the sounds of the break-in attempt and a code describing the location of the activated audio sensor are transmitted immediately to the central monitoring station. Once the activation takes place, then a highly skilled Sonitrol operator silently hears live audio from your facility, while pertinent customer data is displayed on a computer screen for the operator to review and report.

Once the alarm is activated or triggered and the sounds of a break-in attempt are transmitted to the Sonitrol monitoring station, professional operators on duty 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, can determine and verify the nature of the break-in sounds and take immediate action as needed. This unique ability to verify each audio activation helps minimize false alarms, and earns Sonitrol the trust of police and fire officials across the country and abroad. As a result, Sonitrol has the highest documented apprehension rate in the security industry and one of the fastest police response times.*

Unique Audio Detection System

Sonitrol's unconventional system revolves around its unique audio detection system that hears things that motion sensors used by other companies cannot detect. "Our customers tell us that they receive a greater peace of mind knowing that we can listen whenever our services are needed," explains Ray Dezarate, Sonitrol's Senior Vice President of Sales. "When a manager activates a monitoring device, a trained operator at Sonitrol's central station listens to live audio transmitted from the facility. Sonitrol operators are trained to tell the difference between a burglary in progress or some other noise like a traffic accident outside the building. They can call the proper authorities immediately, or reset the system without having to contact the manager or the police. This ability to verify every signal means fewer false alarms."
